Kato Koiti

Kato Koiti, a critic, was born in Saitama, Japan in 1954. He had been an enthusiastic SF fan, but, when he joined to the Waseda Mystery Club, a famous student circle, he was converted to play and eastern mysticism.

He won the Gunzo magazine's New Writers Contest in 1982 by Kosumosu no Chie: on Isikawa Jun (The wisdom of a cosmos: on Isikawa Jun), in which he pointed out the neo-confucian mysticism in Isikawa Jun's works.

He exercises the Nisino Kozo's breathing method and presides over HORAGAI.
